No fashion at all

Poor neglected David! For three days in a row David wore a bright orange bob the builder shirt, red shorts and long bright blue tube socks. He only went to the neighbors like this. I made him change his shorts when we went to the aquarium because it was snowing outside!! The other day (after I hide his bob shirt, red shorts and apparently lucky socks) he came down sporting this (an outfit worn by Sarah LAST summer) saying that kissmas is close because it was snowing outside.

Today was the second day of this outfit...at least he has white socks! He also likes Emma's new toys, unfortunately he is 40 lbs, 20 more then the recommended amount! If Emma knew that David was on her stuff this is how she would feel...

AHHHHHHHH

My sister took the three older kids for the night and for today. I slept in, went shopping and now am about to take a nap. AHHHHHHHHHHHH. What a great treat!

Yummy Recipes

Spinach Pizza

Top your favorite pizza dough with
1/2 Cup Alfredo sauce
4 Cups chopped fresh spinach
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend

Prepare pizza dough according to directions. Press dough onto a greased 12-in pizza pan. Spread Alfredo sauce, top with spinach, tomato cheese and bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.


Roasted Almonds

4 Cups almonds
1 egg white
1 tsp cold water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Beat egg white just until frothy, add water and vanilla beat until thick, but not stiff. In a separate bowl mix together sugar, salt and cinnamon. Pour almonds into egg white and stir until well coated then stir in cinnamon sugar and salt mixture. Stir until well coated.

Lightly grease a cookie sheet then pour out almonds and spread them out evenly, trying to get a single layer.

Bake at 250 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

Let cool and store in an air tight container.

It it very similar to the one we saw before going through the Draper temple open house, which was dedicated today. I love how simple the message is and how it emphasizes the blessings that come from it being the House of the Lord.

Sarah and I got to go to the final dedication session today. What a memorable event. This was only my second temple dedication and I was glad to attend.

First photo shoot

Emma had her first photo shoot on Friday. My AWESOME cousin Jess and my WONDERFUL friend Andrea came and took some pictures of Emma. Afterwards Aaron told me that he wasn't too crazy about naked baby pictures, but I think they are adorable. I am sure he probably didn't like the prego belly pictures either (I didn't ever show him, but I am sure he saw them.)

And when I was trying to find something for Emma to wear (in the pictures where she was dressed) I couldn't think of anything really cute because she is still too small for most of her clothes, but then this morning I went to put something on her for church (I know mom it is still too soon) and she looked ADORABLE! Anyway here are some of the pictures Jess took. And one of her in her church outfit today...

My latest obsession

So awhile back I said that I was still in need of diapers so my friend told me her blog address and that there were some great deals on diapers. She is AMAZING at finding deals and I have been obsessed with her blog ever since. I love seeing what great deals she gets and she posts how she gets those great deals. Well I thought I would try the Walgreen's RR deals. Last week Aaron went and got some Jumbo Huggies Diapers for 1.66 a pack! (if you include the $10 off on your next purchase) Well I thought I would try the Johnson and Johnson Register Rewards deal and the Dove deal, but when I went in there today I couldn't remember the specifics and so I chickened out. I couldn't figure out where everyone was finding where the register rewards deals were since they weren't on the Walgreen's website and /i asked a cashier and she had NO CLUE (which made me chicken out faster!) Through some searching I found this site which was helpful. Anyway, that is what I have been obsessed with this week :)

Eat, sleep, poop repeat. That is Emma's life. David and I got a NICE nap today. The house really should have been cleaned, but we slept instead. For the last two nights Emma has slept for 6 and 7 hours straight! WHAT...my babies have never slept this long. I better not get used to it, but it has been nice :)
