The other day I was in the kitchen and Emma was in her high chair and David was talking to Emma and I hear,
"Emma, Emma...made you look."
I thought it was so funny.

journaling
This week was kind of weird. Tuesday night I had kind of a bad stomach ache and I thought it was from all the nuts and chocolate I had eaten that day. Wednesday morning I woke up around 5 in a puddle of blood. I went to use the bathroom and blood was pouring out. Aaron changed the sheets and I took a shower it was weird but I didn't call the doctor. That day I was fine but the next morning I woke up again with terrible pain and a lot more bleeding. There were huge clots and I was changing a plus tampon every 5 minutes. I didn't think that I could be having a miscarriage because I have an IUD. I called the doctor and they said that there is a 1 in 3000 chance of getting pregnant on the Mirena IUD. I went yesterday for some blood tests (which I still haven't heard back from the doctor's office.) They wanted to see if I was in fact pregnant, if so they will have to see if I passed everything. I don't know if it was a miscarriage, but I feel bad for all of my friends who have ever had one! I wasn't even expecting it and I did get sad thinking that there was a possible baby in there and it didn't survive. Yesterday I was just really weak and dizzy. I just tried to keep hydrated. I called my friend Andrea and when she asked how I was doing I just started to cry and she said that she would be right over. She took David and Emma while I went to the hospital for blood work and then when I came back Emma was sleeping so I was able to take a shower and rest.

first snow
When my parents were here for Thanksgiving we went to see the lights on temple square. We are having a hot chocolate break. They are just cute huh!

yesterday was the first real snow. Sarah was begging to play in the snow before school and being the mean mom I told her we would play AFTER school. We went the the park and lasted about 45 minutes before Emma got a little chilly. It is amazing how the kids think they can't walk to the park and have to ride in the sled. really. I put Emma's pumpkin costume on to keep her a little warmer.

slacker!
Sorry I have been such a blogger slacker! Sometimes I wonder where all my time goes...
Last weekend we had Aaron's sister and her family here. The kids had a blast and we realized how much I was like her husband and Aaron was like her...we had fun playing LOTS of games.
We had such a great Thanksgiving. We spent a lot of time with my parents and sister and her family. We had great food, lots of fun and the kids loved getting together too! Back to LOADS of laundry, a dirty floor and lots of dishes...oh, that is what I have been doing.
Tonight we are having a neighborhood night of giving where kids can give presents to "Santa" so he can give them to those who need them more. We are going shopping this afternoon...should be fun!

Cutie, sweats and sweet

Andrea took more adorable pictures of Emma.
Sarah loves to wear sweats. I have bought her jeans and have told her that I really don't like her to wear sweats to school because it is sloppy and she can't learn as well, but it is her choice...so she wears them to school. fortunately she is growing out of her sweats and they are beginning to get holes in the knees...bye, bye sweats. The other day we went to a play and she had sweats on then put boots on (it had snowed earlier that day, but we were going to a PLAY not sledding) I tried to explain to her that her attire was not really appropriate...any suggestions?
And now the sweet. The other day when we were reading in the scriptures we were reading about Christ's Crucifixion and Becca was explaining to David that they drove nails through his hands and feet and put a crown of thorns on his head. David was so sweet and said, we have to save him. Sarah then ruined the moment when she said, (in her DUH voice) he has been dead over 2000 years. I thought it was cute that David thought he could save Jesus.

trick or treat
Last night I took the kids around the neighborhood and we had a great time! At the first few houses David kept holding his bucket thinking that the longer he stayed the more candy he would get. I would have to remind him to say thanks and tell him we were moving on. Usually the girls (Becca and two friends) would be at the next house before he would be off the door step. We went to a house that was serving hot chocolate and fresh popped popcorn they had a movie projector playing Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. How fun! The kids were tired by the end of the night but had a fun. Sarah went with 3 of her friends. That was hard to let her go by herself, but she had fun and felt big. They gave up before we did so she has less candy then the little kids, but she is okay with it. They are all really good about sharing their candy.
The picture of Aaron and Sarah is from a Halloween father daughter activity where they won a prize for the best couple.
