Pictures from Davids birthday

David had a wonderful party. We had three boys and one girl (from next door, Becca's best friend) We played fun games and jumped on the trampoline (it has been really weird here, no snow and I think it was about 40 that day)
He is a great kid. He is easy going, loves to read and loves to snuggle. He is getting bigger everyday. He eats and eats and eats. I don't know what I will do when he is a teenager! I love David and hope he survives being in a house of girls!

cute conversation

Emma (my 2 year old) was looking at old photos of herself and came across one of her in a swimsuit and said I want to wear this swimsuit (she is REALLY into swimsuits or dresses) and I told her that we gave it to baby neighbor (but I really think I must have thrown it away because the straps were hard and weird) she said well I get it back I can always SQUEEEEEZE into it.

One of her favorite outfits is a pink ballerina tutu swimsuit. Aaron absolutely does not think she should wear it around the house, I think this is just a phase she is going through so our compromise she wears it when dad is not here. I will tell her Daddy is going to be home for lunch soon you better change. She runs and change because she doesn't want daddy to take it away :)

When he comes in she is really proud of herself for being dressed. Daddy, I'm dressed.

I almost didn't make it one week!

I realized that I haven't posted this week! So highlights:

Aaron is with the girls at the daddy/daughter dance right now. It was supposed to be a best dress dance, but Sarah was NOT going to wear a dress. Becca did.

I have been on pinterest a lot. I have made 2 scarfs, 3 flower headbands this week and a baby present. One scarf I made was from a old pit stained tee shirt and it turned out really cute! I think I may have to make these with the Laurels.

I have a friend who is in the process of adopting a baby from China. She already adopted one little boy last year and felt so compelled to adopt another (they both have down syndrome and were 6 and 9) The 9 year old was the 6 year olds "big brother" in the orphanage. Each child was about 30,000 to adopt and so they have been doing all they can to scrape together enough money to adopt the second child. I showed the kids her website http://bringmhome.blogspot.com/ and all my kids emptied their coins from their piggy banks and I told the young women about her (she is the second counselor in the stake YW presidency) and they all brought their spare change and we collected about $100. Then on Tuesday we brought her cards and the jar of money. It felt so good to be a part of someone else's joy!

being summoned to read bed time stories and have to solve dispute over the fan being on...

New Year's Resolutions

So I have always thought new years resolutions were a little silly, why does it have to be a new year to decide you want to be better in some area of your life...so on January 1st I was talking to my mom and she asked me if I had made any resolutions...nope and I don't plan on it...well then I got thinking I SHOULD make some resolutions so here they are

1. Blog once a week, this is my journal. Post at least one picture a month.
2. Exercise more, I know that is everyone's new years resolution right...
3. Be more organized with my meal planning (already have 5 weeks planned)

Well, there you have it...my resolutions, you will at least know if I kept the first one.

Something funny that was said this week,

Question asked to kids What do you want to be when you grow up:
Sarah: something
Becca: a baker
David: a missionary
Emma: a snowman

so beautiful

Tonight we went up AF canyon with Amanda and her family and Tyler and Chantelle Flake's family for a nice fall cookout. While we were waiting I couldn't resist capturing fall colors.

a few days ago when we were reading scripture we were talking about the scripture Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:"

we talked how it was like prayer and we asked what would happen if you knock, Emma said Jesus would let me in. too cute!

She also LOVES princesses. The other morning I said hi princess and she said "I is not a princess, I is still in my nightgown."

She also calls me big princess. She loves imaginary play. The other day she made me "muffins" and when David asked if he could have some she just looked at him and said they are all gone. David asked if she could make more, sure. she is such a cute little thing!
