vacation bible school
today I took Sarah and Becca to a friend's bible school. Sarah was really excited to come home and look up the scripture they talked about and they had a lot of fun so I guess it is okay. I was really hesitant to send Sarah (it was her friend that invited her) but they both loved it. I will tell them that if there is any Mormon bashing to stand up and say I am a Mormon. We will see how it all turns out.

This weekend
WHEW we had a FUN whirlwind of a trip. This weekend we went to the Hill Cumorah Pageant and had a BLAST. We had to drive a ton, but it was worth it. It was a little rainy and I was annoyed with the people in front of us that had their umbrella's up, but it was still great. On the way up we stopped at a state park. We just needed a pit stop and we saw that people were stopping so we decided that we would to. This is what we found...
We hiked and explored for about an hour and then we were back on the road. There was still a lot of trail but we needed to hit the road.
When we got to Palmyra we went to the sacred grove. We were a little grouchy and hungry but still had a good time.
Here we are trying to keep dry and warm.

The misadventures of Chocolate Girl
This morning we went to Hershey Park, but before going we were going to go to Chocolate World to see the world's largest Hershey kiss. It was 7,000 lbs and 7 feet high. I was really excited to see it. When we got there though I didn't see anything! I asked the lady and she said that they took it down last night and they were moving it to NYC! What THIS is chocolate world where I should be able to see the worlds largest kiss...oh well. Another misadventure of Chocolate Girl.
We did have a BLAST at Hershey Park. I am really going to miss it here when we move. We went to Zoo America while we were at HP and we went into "the desert" room and my friend said welcome to your backyard. There was a large pile of sand with a few cactus in the middle. AHHHHHHHHHHH I am going to miss the trees and the green and the trees!
David LOVES the Hershey characters. He waves at them but when they come close he runs away. He will go only if I go with him. It is really cute. Here are a few pictures of today (excluding the world largest kiss!)
Here we are on the Frog Hopper. This is not David's favorite because it has sudden drops in it, but he didn't want to be left out. (one of these things is not like the other...the big person in the middle :)
After all this adventure David and Becca fell asleep in the car on the way home and Sarah just wanted to read so I have a little time to do this :)
Is is too hard to read
I feel like the font is too small to read...is it okay or too hard? how do you like the black dots? Better than the pink but I think I still like the blue.

Change of pace
Now that I am a mom of three I have discovered that I have had a change of pace in many areas of my life.
Take meal time...I am hurrying to finish the meal because I usually have a ravenous David at my heals and then by the time I am half way through the preparation I usually give up and put David in his high chair and give him something to stave him off...well by the time I finish everything and sit down to eat he is done and is screaming to get out...and there are numerous requests for water, food to be cut up, more of this, a lot of distractions. When I finally sit I feel like I have to scarf down the food before someone makes a request. I have to consciously make myself eat slower.
The other night I was walking out of a resident's spouses meeting and I was with a girl who only has a newborn. Well as we were walking out to the car she was walking REALLY fast. she was probably only 5'2" but man I felt like I was running. I realized it is because I have gotten used to the baby step pace. I really need to just get out and walk without little feet with me.
Shower time...I used to love taking long showers. Now I have to shave both legs as quickly as I can or I know that someone will be crying when I get out. Now that David is getting older it is a little easier to ignore his crys, but it shower time is a lot quicker.

Transition
This weekend I have been playing secretary. I have been looking up practices and printing cover letters and resumes and am planning to send them to about 30 different practices. Most of them are in AZ (since I am the one sending them out) but we will see what kind of feedback we get. It has been fun wondering where we are going to end. I feel this year is a big transition year.
It is my hope that when we move we will not take a lot of things (maybe pull a trailor or just fit whatever we can in our van...) It is scary to think we will have to start all over again and it will be tedious to buy everything all over again, but in the end I think it will be worth it. We will just see when the time comes.
