Down on the farm

Here are some pictures from the farm we went to on Monday. We went with some friends who used to live in PA...so fun!

Sarah catching a chicken. She and her friend would run and one would
grab the tail while the other snatched up the chicken.

Giddy up.

Cautiously petting the goat.

Playing in the corn box.

Scarecrow Festival

This weekend we have had SO MUCH FUN! The girls are off for fall break and we have done some fun things. On Thursday we had a great time with my cousin and sister making carmel apples (I don't think I have ever made them -- YUM O!)

Friday I went with some of my friends to a scarecrow festival at Thanksgiving Point. Here are the pictures.

Here is Sarah coming down from climbing up the wall. She made it up 3 times.

Down in the fourth

When I was in high school I played basketball. If the game was close with a few minutes to go, we would foul the other team to get possession of the ball - after taking a chance that they would miss thier foul shot.

As I was watching the debate last night I felt like McCain was trying so hard to foul Obama to get back in the game.

I don't know if that strategy ever worked!

Let it snow

Are you kidding...NOPE...it is only October and here is the snow. The kids LOVED it! Although they were a little bummed that it was so cold.

We went down to Aaron's sisters for her babies blessing and it was great to see family. It is fun to be this close.

Haircut

Yesterday I took Becca to get her first real haircut (you know at a place where I actually pay someone). As I was paying I came back and saw that the girl was putting her hair in pony tails so I didn't actually see the final thing. today was picture day at school and this morning when I washed and dried Becca's hair it was the worst haircut I have EVER seen! The front of her hair was at her ears as a straight cut and then the back was about 2 inches longer like she didn't even cut anything from her hair. I asked my neighbor if I was just crazy to take her back, but I REALLY didn't like the cut. This morning I took her in and we came out MUCH better. Here it is

Oh and I had to get a shot of the other two.

Soapbox

Good thing I didn't write this in the morning because I would have really been on my high horse.

A few things I could go off on...

1. I choose -c- none of the above. I really am sick of the campaign trail and know that my vote doesn't count one bit so why bother to follow it.

2. If Obama gets the nomination I feel like we are all doomed (Darin and Kristen I know you have your reasons...but seriously). Just on welfare I feel like he is saying - don't worry you want a house, we will pay for it, you want food, we will pay for it, you want preschool we will pay for it, medical insurance we will pay for it, you want a million bucks we will give it to you. Seriously last night we were watching the news and there was this woman bemoaning that she couldn't pay for her medicine so she was suing Medicare because they denied her because they miscalculated her information. Did I feel bad she was in a hard spot, yes. Did I see her 60 inch high definition tv in the back ground and feel sorry that she couldn't pay her bills, NO but she felt entitled that SOMEONE ELSE should pay her medical bill (so she could have her tv...and whatever else her little heart desires.)

3. Insurance. I will just stop there.

4. On the BRIGHT side I am in that stage where I can feel the baby move and it is still fun.

Hopefully next post will be nice and bright and cheery.

To freeze or not to freeze

I bought 10 bags of chocolate chips (you know on sale and you had to buy 10 to get the sale) well now I don't know if I should freeze them. Any idea?
