Spring break part 2

Thursday my sister called and said that she would watch my kids Friday afternoon and have them sleep over and then bring them home Sat morning if Aaron and I wanted to do something fun so we repainted our kitchen cabinets. (it is amazing how much more I accomplished because I didn't have kids! Thursday I was out in the garage spray painting the hardware and I came in and saw Emma on the counter with the pam spray and the counter was covered and the flooor was covered. She just wanted to be like mommy) This morning I actually went for a walk and read my scriptures as I ate breakfast (when does THAT ever happen!)

I have been wanting to paint the cabinets ever since we moved in. A lot of people liked the way our cabinets looked, but not me. I thought they looked yellow with dirt in the corners. The lady before us didn't do that great of a job "antiquing" them.

We did go to welfare square Thursday and it was amazing to see all that our church does for others. The only thing that was going that day was the bakery and that was fun to see all the workers. The missionaries that were taking us on a tour said that they make 2,000-5,000 loaves of bread every day. Then we toured the cannery and the DI and the dairy. They make the cheese at 4 in the morning so we didn't get to see that.

Here are some before and after pictures, you can't really tell a huge difference but there is one I promise. Also here is the chair in my front room which I think I will pull the colors for the walls.

I love your bright white cabinets! I'm itching to paint mine too but don't know how doable it is with having the baby around.

What kind of paint and paint brushes did you use? Did you just do the pain and primer in one? Or Oil based paint? I'm trying to figure out how to touch up or repaint mine. The bead board makes me shudder, though, just thinking about repainting it...
