babies, babies, babies

This weekend we went to the zoo. What a great time to go. There was a baby elephant, giraffe, snow leopard and howler monkey and three baby tigers. This was the first time Aaron went so we stayed a little longer. The baby elephant was born at 250 pounds. Can you believe that tiny thing is now 300 pounds!!!

Amanda's birthday

For my sister's birthday we all went up the canyon and had a hot dog roast. It was great! The site we were at was a little secluded and just beautiful. The adults had fun hanging out and the kids had fun with the glow in the dark bracelets. I hope she had a great one!!!

David's hair is getting a little long (you know I actually have to comb it) but anytime I talk about cutting it he says he likes it shaggy.

Emma just keeps getting bigger. She LOVES to eat now. She went through a phase where she would spit out everything we gave her. We love to trick her by giving her a bite of applesauce and then a bite of peas. She goes for it every time. She loves the bath but keeps rolling over and then drowning herself by dunking her head under. When she hears the water she starts kicking her legs.
I have had a head cold for a few days, but glad to say I am finally feeling a little better!

What do you want to be for Halloween?

One morning we were talking about what we wanted to be for Halloween...

Sarah said she wanted to be a frog.

Becca is undecided.

David said he wanted to be a wino. HAHA. He wants to be a RHINO, not a drunk wino!

Harvest time

I love the fall. I just canned about 35 quarts of peaches. I made dehydrated peaches, peach syrup, peach jam (which didn't set up so it ended up as more peach syrup) I am going to try a different peach jam recipe tomorrow and hopefully that will work. I can just taste some yummy homemade bread with yummy peach jam...mmm, mmm. I am also thinking of chocolate zucchini bread....oh, I am making myself hungry.

Proud Emma sitting up! She is also mastering the art of eating. What a big girl!

OUCH!

Yesterday I was getting Emma out of the car and slammed her foot in the door of the van!!! She was screaming and I didn't realize how bad it was until I looked and there was a purple stripe across her foot and it was starting to swell. I started crying because I felt so bad and thought there might be permanent damage. She did better as the night went on and slept fine and this morning acted as if nothing happened. She can move her toes and stand on her foot without crying so hopefully that is a good sign!

Emma is awake from her nap so more later.

Blogging slacker

Last week we went to Seven peaks water park and had a BLAST! Now that school is in there were NO lines. Everyone had a blast and we even had free tickets! Nice.

On Friday we went to Aaron's sisters house and had fun with all of his family. It is so nice to have awesome in-laws. The kids are finally big enough that they just played without fighting and the adults had fun just hanging out and playing games.
Here is the latest of the little cutie. We have been trying to get her to sleep through the night and she will have NONE of it. Last night we had her "cry it out" for about an hour and she just was NOT going to go back to sleep!!! MAN, it was a rough night. I hope tonight will be better.

Oh, I got a new camera. Yeah!!! I am still trying to figure out how to use it.
