Yesterday I was getting Emma out of the car and slammed her foot in the door of the van!!! She was screaming and I didn't realize how bad it was until I looked and there was a purple stripe across her foot and it was starting to swell. I started crying because I felt so bad and thought there might be permanent damage. She did better as the night went on and slept fine and this morning acted as if nothing happened. She can move her toes and stand on her foot without crying so hopefully that is a good sign!
Emma is awake from her nap so more later.

Oh my gosh, you poor things! My mom did the same thing to me when I was little... My friend and I were just talking about accidents that happen like that and make you feel like poop, but we're only human! She'll be just fine, and at least she won't remember it :-)
Isn't that just the worst?!?! I feel bad for both of you. I really hope her little foot is ok. Bummer!!
