note to self
Never buy Amana. We have only had this washing machine for 2.5 years and it dies! Really, a washing machine should last much longer. The repair guy said that he would just replace it ( I really think he didn't want to fix it and would get the same money if we just replaced it...needless to say we just replaced it!)

My in-laws have had the same problem with their Amana fridge. They had it for a year and it broke. Warranty replaced it and that one broke as well. Warranty replaced that one. They're on their 3rd Amana fridge and it's been acting funny on them.
Unfortunately we didn't know this when we bought our fridge. We got an Amana and we've had it almost 2 years now. It occasionally makes sounds that are a little concerning.
