I forgot to specify

We will be repainting the whole house to make it more attractive to sell. That is why I asked white or beige. I would love to have a pottery barn or bold home, but I want to stay a little more neutral for resale. It is a buyers market so anything I do has to increase the value of the home (or increase the chance that someone will buy the house.)

Sarah has no school today due to "freezing rain" currently it is just rain, but I guess they didn't want to take any chances. Interesting! I wouldn't want the job of canceling school!

On all the HGTV design to sell shows it seems like they tell people to stay away from extremes. You know, dark colors and stark white. The dark is "bad" because it can clash with people's furniture. White is "bad" because it can come off as too cold and impersonal. Creams, tans, and certain greens (that can be considered "neutral") seem to be used the most.

Thanks, I never get to watch those kinds of shows. I think we are going to paint the whole house the same color...is that bad?

I agree with silly marie. When we were house shopping, a light sand color was the most acceptable. White was too stark, but a color made it feel liveable but neutral.

I don't think it's bad to have the whole house the same color.
