Chicken

Tonight at dinner we were having Bruchetta Chicken (one of my favorites) and
Sarah's chicken had a bone in it. Sarah asked "WHAT is THIS?" I pulled it out and it was a small bone that apparently was missed in the deboning process. Becca said "oh look there is CHICKEN on that bone." Yep Becca that is a sad reality chicken is not just food we buy at the store. It used to be a live, breathing animal! I don't think she really put two and two together. Sarah knows, but it doesn't gross her out...I think that it may gross Becca out.

Good luck. That piece of info turned Celia into a vegetarian for years and years. I thought it was just a phase she was going through that would last maybe a year at the most. Hah. Thank heavens for beans and cheese and eggs. the mom

That was why I went vegetarian for 10 years. When I realized that the chicken on the plate was the same as the chicken running around in Annie Frost's yard I was scarred for life. I still can't stomach eating chicken (or any meat) that is still on the bone (or still has skin on it. BLECH!). If we're in a social situation where bone on chicken is served, Matt always de-bones mine quietly so I can eat it.
