crash..

This Sunday we were driving downtown, Aaron was on call and was paged, he tried to pull over and when he did he looked in his mirror but not over his shoulder and then CRASH...he side swiped some poor guy. They other guy was in a small car and had to be going at least 45. His car was not drivable but ours was. I took it to the guy on Monday to get it fixed and the whole way there the car was squealing. I told Sarah to pray us there safely. I was really scared we weren't going to make it...I should have called for a tow, but I thought we would make it fine. They are keeping the car until Fri or Sat...hopefully they will get it finished because we are going to the beach on Monday. We will see though! I am just grateful that everyone was okay. At the scene the police didn't site anyone and said that it was a no fault accident so we were worried that our insurance wouldn't pay for the other guy, but we found out that they are going to. I felt bad about hitting him, but glad that our insurance will pay for it. I don't know how much our premium will raise, but these things happen!

Yikes! I'm glad no one was hurt. You know, one really good thing about driving the truck in high school that had broken side mirrors is that I never ever change lanes without looking over my shoulder. Even now I don't adjust the side mirrors to my eye level. I let Matt keep it at his and I just look over my shoulder when I'm driving. Luckily I have a car small enough I can do that.

So sorry about the crash. You have a good attitude. These things happen. Does anyone remember who the kids in our family were who made it out of high school without having any accidents? I think Bryan and Celia if my memory is correct.

Oh my, I forgot all about that little pick up with no side mirrors. Just a case of being tooo busy to go get some and put them on.

I'm glad Aaron and the other driver are OK.

I was not in a car accident until 2002, so I did get out of high school unscathed. Luckily no one was hurt the time I did get in a wreck, and the sube was drivable after the accident. I drove it another 3 months until I left it for the summer at the Flakes. Then I gave it to Troy who soon found out when he tried to get safety testing done that it would require like $5-600 in repairs to make it pass inspection. I think he left it without plates on the street and it got towed. Easy way to get rid of it I guess.

haha I think I was in 2 "no fault" accidents when I was in high shcool. I remember one was right before our trip to UT and I was just crushed and I ran into dad's classroom crying.

I just have to go on the record as one of the no-accident children. I was in the car with Suz when we crashed in Flagstaff, but I have never been the driver in a crash situation. I hope my time isn't coming soon. I hate crashes.
