We had a FABULOUS time at the beach and camping. Our camp site was 15 minutes to the Jersey Shore and was a great wooded area. The kids loved making the fire, cooking outdoors, and the beach. The first night Sarah got a little too adventurous and got swept under by the waves. When she came out she had tons of sand in her hair and a real angry look on her face and said she wanted to go back to camp...we had only been there for 30 minutes! We did go back though and had smores so it was all good.
The next day we went to the beach all day. I realized that I had left my suit at home so we had to find something. On the way to the beach we saw a k-mart and found a SMALL selection of suits where I found a suit 3 sizes too big...but much better than swimming in my shorts and shirt. $12 later I was the proud owner of a new suit.
David LOVED the beach. He would go right up to the waves and laugh. If he would get sprayed he would just spit the salt out of his mouth. Too cute. Becca liked it better this time. She hasn't ever really loved the beach and was the first one to ask to leave. Sarah was a little more cautious, but still loved the beach. But of course the person who loved the beach the most was ME! I love to body surf and would have liked to have a boogie board (I guess next time when we are in CA). We said good bye to the Atlantic Ocean because the next time we go to the beach will be in CA!
